Softball Queensland are calling for expressions of interest for a boys’ development tour to Wellington, New Zealand in 2026

A maximum of 14 players will be selected with consideration given to older age players based on initial interest received or specialist position requirements.  The proposed tour will take place from 10^th to 16^th February 2026.

The purpose of the tour is to provide junior pathway players with international playing experience and development opportunities to further enhance their skills and game play.

To provide the best possible experience for the players, SQ has made the decision to add an extra night to the tour.  The cost of the 7-day tour will be approximately $3,200 which includes, flights, accommodation, playing top, hoodie, hat and all meals.

Pathways Coordinator, Fabian Barlow will lead the tour in a Head Coach/Mentor role.

Interested players should register an expression of interest with Softball Queensland here by Friday 12 September 2026.

SQ are looking to name final rosters in September and players will be required to pay a $750 deposit within 14 days to confirm their spot on the tour and follow a payment plan.

(Note: $500 of this payment will be non-refundable).

The tour is for players who are or turn the ages of 14-17 years old in 2026
